Aims and Scope

The Journal of Contemporary Diabetes Research is a peer-reviewed international journal of multidisciplinary/trans-disciplinary nature on all aspects of frontier diabetes research. The journal aims to provide an open access platform to provide for dissemination of knowledge and discussion of topics related to clinical and experimental diabetes research with a rapid turn-around time.
The focus will be to include papers that convey new information on  any aspect of the Diabetes, ranging from basic science to translational science. The main criteria for selection of articles will be their scientific quality, novelty, relevance and interest to a wide based readership.

Topics include – but not limited to – the following fields:
- Physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics aspects of diabetes
- Diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy and macro-vascular diseases
- Animal models of diabetes and tissue-specific studies
- Bioprospecting of traditional medicine
- Stem cell research, biosensors, biomaterials and tissue regeneration
- Diabetes, nutrition and exercise biology
- Diabetes and mental health
- Diabetes and Co-morbidities
- Other contemporary issues and current trends


We are working closely with many major databases to get the journal indexed and will gradually publish more index information of the journal.
